Due to industrial action between our waste contractor FCC and Unison, there may be disruption to waste collection services in Hull between Tuesday 1st May and Monday 14th May.

Due to the disruption, collections may be earlier or later than normal so we would encourage residents to make sure their bin is presented for collection by 7am.

We appreciate residents’ patience through this period of potential service disruption.

The Council has joined forces with Keep Britain Tidy to help tackle the epidemic of fly-tipping that is affecting communities up and down the country.

#CrimeNotToCare, which is being run in partnership with environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy, aims to educate householders about the right thing to do with their rubbish and to reduce the amount of household waste that is 
fly-tipped by rogue traders who offer to take people's waste away for money and then dump it. In the past 12 months there have been more than 5,400 fly-tipping incidents, costing the council approximately £250k to clear up.
