Tell Hull City Council What You Think
A new way for organisations in the Humber region to have their say, and to influence local decisions - the Enterprise Panel is open to all organisations with an interest in the Humber region, regardless of size, constitution or sector – large, small, private, public, charity or social enterprise.
In the current survey we want to understand how you feel about the current economic climate, your predictions for the coming year, satisfaction with your broadband provider, cyber-security and how your council can provide local organisations with a better service.
All of your responses will be confidential and results will be reported anonymously.
Members can also take advantage of marketing and sponsorship opportunities with the People’s Panel.

Business Intelligence and Customer Insight
Hull City Council's Business Intelligence and Customer Insight Team advise and guide organisations on effective market research, consultation with customers and clients, and publish local and national statistics. They provide a number of key insight tools and services including data mapping, surveys and research, data analysis and customer segmentation.

Procurement at Hull City Council. Are you registered?
Hull City Council's (and many other public sector organisation in the region) advertise their tender opportunities over £50,000 are advertised on YORtender. If your organisation is interested in doing business with Hull City Council then registering on YORtender is the first important step.
Registration is free and you can specify the goods, works or services you offer. You will receive alerts when opportunities are advertised and you can view, download, complete and return tenders electronically.
Permits, Licencing and Trading Standards
If you are or want to start trading as a business, you may well need a permit, licence or some form of registration before you can start. Or you may need help with issues as diverse as Consumer Law, drainage investigation or a Pavement Café Licence.
Hull City Council's Public Protection Team monitors and processes applications for business licences, permits and registrations - from food business registrations, premises licences, environmental permits to export certificates to tattoo registration and hairdresser registration as well as guidance on many more issues relating to your business. Help and advice is also available from Trading Standards and Environmental Health, to ensure that you are operating within the guidelines.
Hull - a Fairtrade City
Hull is proud to have successfully achieved Fairtrade City status again, following its ongoing commitment to promoting Fairtrade principles. Hull was first awarded the Fairtrade status in 2005.

Working Voices Project
NHS Hull Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is working with the People's Panel and the Enterprise Panel to reach out to the local workforce through the Working Voices Initiative. The programme will support employers to create a happier, healthier and more empowered workforce.
Working Voices takes health information and engagement activities to the workforce rather than expecting them to come to us. Capturing the views of the working population about changes within the NHS will provide valuable insight from this often ignored group. A number of local employers have already joined the project. GP Online Consultation launched
A new online service ‘eConsult’ could revolutionise the way patients across Hull and East Riding get medical advice from their GP.
NHS Hull CCG and the East Riding of Yorkshire CCG are using digital technology to bring choice to patients who want to consult online, in many cases avoiding the need to make a visit to the practice altogether, saving time and a journey.

For free advice, contact the Humber Authorities Calibration Services - a joint partnership between four local authorities. The centre provides free advice for businesses on all calibration issues and offers reliable and quality services across the country. For further information regarding the calibration of mass, volume, temperature, torque, length or air pressure or about hiring 10kg weights or a weighbridge test unit carrying 20 tonne of weights.
