You can enter our gardening competition if you are a council tenant within the Hull City Council boundary.
You must also meet the following criteria to enter the competition -
- have done the gardening yourself
- only submit one entry per household
- communal gardens must be shared by more than one property
Categories and judging
The judging is split into East, West and North Hull with prizes awarded in the following categories -
best council tenant garden individual garden
- area winner
- overall winner
best council tenant communal garden
- area winner
- overall winner
best council tenant vegetable garden
- area winner
- overall winner
best tenant ECO garden
- area winner
- overall winner
The judging will take a different format this year, with Officers videoing the garden and asking the entrant “what does their garden mean to them”. All entries will then be sent to the judges for them to make decisions accordingly.
