Asymptomatic testing is for people who do not have Coronavirus symptoms. If you have any Coronavirus symptoms -
- new continuous cough
- a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste
you must self isolate and book a test using the link below. Hull has a number of test sites throughout the city.
We are in the process of rolling out targeted asymptomatic Coronavirus testing to communities and businesses. Rapid lateral test flows (LFTs) will be used to regularly test people who do not have symptoms as one in three people who have the virus show no symptoms at all and can still spread the virus.
The test are different to those used for people with symptoms and provide results within 30 minutes.
The test are already being used in lots of different organisations including-
- care homes
- NHS frontline staff
The initial phase of testing has started with regular testing of council employees in critical frontline roles. Plans are being developed to open more testing centres across the city. In line with government recommendations we are prioritising testing for businesses with fewer than 250 employees, working in environments where they are at risk of catching and spreading Coronavirus.
Further information will be available when we are ready to roll out the testing further with relevant businesses being contacted direct.
Please continue to follow government advice and follow restrictions. Further guidance on Coronavirus safety at work can be accessed using the link below.
