European Parliamentary elections

 

The UK, which has 73 seats on the European Parliament, is divided onto 12 electoral regions, each with between three and ten MEPs, who represent each person living there.

Hull is located within the Yorkshire and Humber Region constituency, which has six MEPs.

In the UK, the poll will be between 7am and 10pm on Thursday 23 May 2019.

To be eligible to vote in these elections, you must be:
•    A British, Irish, qualifying Commonwealth or an EU citizen
•    18 years or older on polling day
•    Registered to vote

Important information for EU citizens

EU citizens, who are not British, are only eligible to vote in the European Parliamentary Elections in respect of their UK constituency if they returned a European Parliamentary voter registration form and we received by 7 May.  All eligible electors have been sent a poll card.  If you are not sure if you can vote, you can email us at electoral.services@hullcc.gov.uk or call 01482 300 302.

Deadline for receiving new postal vote and postal proxy applications, and for changes and cancellations to existing postal and proxy votes 5pm, Wednesday 8 May 2019
