We have several convenient ways for you to pay your social service charges.

You need your reference number which is nine or 10 digits. You can find this number on your social services non residential charges account or swipecard.

If you have a sundry debt invoice you can pay this as a Hull City Council invoice.

Direct debit

We can set up regular payments from your bank or building society account on your behalf. You just need to complete and return our direct debit mandate.

Payment is taken on the first of each month.

Transfers or standing orders

You can transfer a one-off payment or set up regular payments from your bank or building society through online banking, telephone banking, or in person.

Our bank details are -

  • Sort code: 62-11-79
  • Account number: 00000000 (eight zeros)

You need to quote one of the following, depending on whether you have a nine or 10 digit reference number -

  • 0000 34000 followed by your nine digit reference number
  • 0000 0200 followed by your 10 digit reference number

Telephone

You can pay anytime by automated telephone payment on 01482 300 300 (select option one). Our contact centre staff are available to take payments -

  • Monday to Friday, 8am to 7pm
  • Saturdays, 9am to 1pm

You will need -

  • your reference number
  • a debit or credit card

In person

You can pay by debit or credit card at any of our customer service centres. Some also take cash or cheque.

  • UK post office with cash or cheque
  • supermarket or shop that displays the PayPoint logo, with cash

Postal

Make your cheque or postal order payable to - Kingston upon Hull City Council - and write your reference number on the back. Send it to -

Make sure you use the appropriate postal option so your payment arrives on time.
