We have received approval from the secretary of state for our bid to establish a special free school in the city.
The successful bid for a 125 place special free school for pupils with severe learning difficulties aged 4 to 19 is a key part of our strategic plan for SEND education provision. It supports our vision for all children and young people with SEND in Hull to have the right provision, at the right time and in the right place so they can achieve well in their early years, in school and at college and participate in and contribute to the local community in which they live.
The deadline for applications is midday on the 30 September 2019.
As part of this stage of the process we are holding a stakeholder engagement event on Thursday 6th June at 1pm where you can find out more about the proposed school and talk with council officers. This will include a visit to the proposed site. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday 24th May for further details and to book on the event.
