Our Governor Support Service provides high quality advice and guidance to School Governors, Head Teachers, Principals and Committee Clerks to support them in their role. This is complemented by a comprehensive and tailored programme of training covering all aspects of education and legislation to address roles, legal responsibilities and best practice.

Service standards 

  • minutes and other documents produced at meetings will be distributed to schools within 14 or 28 days as agreed by the school
  • all school governors are offered training to improve their knowledge to carry out the role
