Mind of my own Privacy Notice

Children and young people with a social worker can use the Mind of My Own app as a quick and easy way to let your worker know your thoughts and feelings.

Hull City Council collects, uses and is responsible for personal information about you that you enter into the Mind of my own app; this could include personal details such as name, address, date of birth and other contact details, when you register.  It may also include your views on a certain situation you are in and special category data including details about health, ethnic origin, religion and sexual orientation, if you choose to tell us.

We process personal data to deliver our functions as local authority and offer support to families requiring early help, this in accordance with GDPR conditions:

GDPR 6 1 (c) necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the controller is subject;

GDPR 9 2 (g) necessary for reasons of substantial public interest, on the basis of Union or Member State law which shall be proportionate to the aim pursued, respect the essence of the right to data protection and provide for suitable and specific measures to safeguard the fundamental rights and the interests of the data subject;

GDPR 9 2 necessary for the purposes of preventive or occupational medicine, for the assessment of the working capacity of the employee, medical diagnosis, the provision of health or social care or treatment or the management of health or social care systems and services on the basis of Union or Member State law or pursuant to contract with a health professional;

We will keep your personal information safe and confidential but we may be required to share it were -

  • we are required by law to share it
  • any person may be at risk of harm if the information is not shared
  • it is necessary to prevent, detect, investigate or punish a crime

You have the right at any time for your One app account to be deleted. When you tell Mind of My Own you want your account deleted, they will delete it within one month and will send you an email to tell you they have done it.

When your account is deleted by Mind Of My Own it means all information about you that is kept by Mind Of My Own, or sent by you through the One app, will be permanently removed from the Mind Of My Own server.

Remember, even though your information will be permanently removed from the Mind Of My Own server, all the statements you sent to workers through the One app will have been stored on Liquid Logic records. Mind Of My Own can never see your case records.  If you would like all of your information to be removed from the Mind Of My Own databases described above, please email privacy@mindofmyown.org.uk.

Although you choose who your statement is sent too, once you send it in it will be saved to our Liquid Logic database which means other people, such as managers may be able to see it and once stored on Liquid Logic it could be kept for up to 100 years depending on the type of involvement you have had with us.
