Hull City Council Private Sector Renewal's team use your personal information to record your consent to the proposed works to your property, to record what works took place to a particular property and for guarantee purposes and defect liability purposes.

We process information about - 

  • tenants/occupiers who live in properties where proposed works will take place
  • owners of properties where proposed works will take place
  • current household members
  • employees of companies we contract to carry out improvement works
  • professionals involved in providing housing services, such as letting agents

The types of information we hold includes - 

  • names and contact information
  • signatures
  • details of financial hardship if this is volunteered
  • details of current tenancies and any housing issues
  • health, welfare and safeguarding information if this is shared with us

We receive information from - 

  • other council departments, such as council tax
  • owners/occupiers of properties where proposed works will take place
  • professionals at other organisations including letting agents

Information is processed for the performance of contracts with our customers to deliver works. We also process information to meet our public functions, delivering housing regeneration in order to continually improve housing conditions. 

We retain all information relating to housing improvement projects for 10 year latent defect liability period.
