PAC keys are used to access blocks of flats with controlled entry facilities across the city.
Once issued they become the responsibility of the tenant and are provided at the sign up of new tenancies.
If a block has a car park the same PAC key can be programmed for gaining entry but the tenant must provide ownership of the vehicle.
Please note that PAC keys are only available by pre order and collection.
If the PAC key is lost, faulty, damaged or if an additional key is required:
If the key is faulty and there is no sign of physical damage it will be replaced free of charge. You must return the faulty key.
Lost / stolen or damaged -
If lost/stolen or damaged a charge of £9.80 will be levied before a replacement is issued.
Additional Key -
If an additional key is required you will need to provide acceptable proof of ID which will be checked against your tenancy information.
Types of acceptable I.D -
- Photo Driving Licence
- Residence Permit
- Letter from Works or Pensions
- EU Member state identity card
- Tenancy Agreement
- Bank Statements
- A registration cross check on the Council Tax system.
I.D. will be checked against the name on the tenancy and only provided to the tenant, or named representative with written authorisation.
Additional PAC keys can be issued to confirmed members of the household only. No person under the age of 14 will be issued a PAC key. If a PAC key is required for a person who is a carer of the tenant but doesn't live at the address, proof will be required of the caring responsibilities of that person in the form of a letter of authorisation from the tenant or relevant household member.
