We have a 10 to 15 year regeneration programme for the Ings area which is well underway. An overview of this is provided in the master plan map for the area. This shows areas of Caspon houses that due to their construction are going to be demolished to create cleared sites for building new homes on.
If you are directly affected by the acquisition programme you receive information and advice about the housing choices and financial help available to you. One to one meetings are arranged with you to discuss options in more detail at an appropriate time for your phase and you are supported throughout the process. The dates when we visit you to discuss options for relocation (not demolition dates) are provided in the document below. The programme is on schedule .
Following on from the acquisition and demolition the Holderness Road Corridor Area Action Plan and the Ings Master Plan Map provide a framework for the development of the area through the building of new homes and the creation of green and recreational spaces. Compendium Living are our lead developer partner in the area building a range of housing including a mix of rental, private ownership, size and type so that there are homes for everyone who wants to stay in the area.
The first development by Compendium Living of 65 new homes on the Leeway at Perivale and Petersham are now sold or let.
Work is underway building 83 new two and three bedroom homes on the Surbiton Close site available for affordable rent and shared ownership from Together Housing. The development will be completed summer 2018. Priority for the new homes is given to those affected by the demolition programme.
The Hammersmith Close site forms a continuation of The Leeway with building underway on 64 two, three and four bedroom houses for sale and four affordable bungalows.
Site safety concerns
Construction sites can be dangerous places, and it is especially important to keep children and pets away from them at all times. At the end of each day site areas will be secured and left in a safe condition. If you see anyone, especially children or young people, in site areas out of normal working hours please telephone 0845 456 1380 as soon as possible.
