Your Hull, capture it is looking for iconic pictures that represent Hull to go on our website.
Our current homepage photograph was taken by Ewan Smith and was chosen by Paul Schofield who is Hull's very own city tour guide. Paul has been conducting tours of Hull and Beverley for almost 30 years and achieved second place in this year's Visit England Tourism Superstar competition.
Before you start
Share your pictures with us and other interested people of all ages and levels of experience. You can submit the pictures on our Facebook page.
What happens next
If you want your pictures to be considered for our website they must be -
- your own
- at least 1500 pixels by 900 pixels (landscape orientation)
- jpeg or png format
- of places in Hull or places associated with Hull such as Humber Bridge. They cannot contain people who can be identified.
If your picture is chosen in the top five from our shortlist we post an announcement on the page and ask the person who supplied the photograph selected for the homepage for a few comments. These are then posted to the page at some point while the photograph is displayed.
When sending a photograph or other graphical material to us you do so in accordance with these terms of service. This means you agree you have taken the photograph(s) or have permission by the owner of the photograph(s) to send them to us, and you are granting us non exclusive right to publish or use and edit in any way and at any time on our website.
Selected photographs and graphical material are published at the discretion of the editor and you are not paid.
You or the owner of the photograph(s) still own the copyright of the photograph(s) sent to us and are free to republish the photograph(s) wherever you or the owner wish and in whatever medium you want.
