Our dedicated, friendly and highly experienced Bereavement Services Team at the Chanterlands Crematorium manage all the process of renewing a leased memorial and answer any queries or questions that you may have.
Important to note
It is vital that we have your up to date contact details throughout your leased memorial period, if details change please notify us. All correspondence will be sent to the last recorded address. It is the lease holder’s responsibility to keep the Crematorium Administration Office informed of any change to -

When the lease is due to expire, you are encouraged to contact us directly to arrange the renewal or advise us of your other wishes.

At the time of renewal, we will ask you to fill in and sign a lease renewal form agreeing to extend the lease period. (This must be the original lease holder, unless that person has sadly passed away, then we would ask the next of kin/s to agree a new leaseholder).
There are various payment options available. We understand renewing a memorial is extremely important to many in order to maintain the memory of their loved one. However, we do understand various options are needed to ensure they are affordable. We can -
- arrange monthly instalments over a ten month period (via direct debit or payment cards).
- raise an invoice (this would be received within five working days and multiple payment methods are offered).
- take payments over the telephone using a debit/credit card.
Once the lease is renewed, you will receive a revised lease agreement, this will state -
- the memorial
- the date renewed
- the date it will expire
- the fee paid
- your up to date contact details
- the rules and regulations
Please always read through documents carefully, sign and return 1 copy to the Chanterlands Crematorium and keep a copy for you own records (keep this document safe).
