Information for Hosts
The Government have updated their guidance for sponsors, so that it contains more information to help you support your guests to adapt to life in the UK. It also provides links to charities that can support you as hosts. You will find the new guidance here.

Some community organisations have also developed advice on hosting, and can provide training courses to help you support your guests, access this information here.

Biometric residence permit (BRP)
Hosts are asked to remind those guests who do not have a biometric residence permit (BRP) and have not yet booked an appointment to enrol their biometric features that they must do so within six months of the date that they entered the UK, so that they can obtain a BRP to show that they can live, work and access benefits in the UK for up to three years. They can book an appointment on GOV.UK here or access further information on BRPs here.
Information for Guests
The Government has updated its guidance for Homes for Ukraine scheme guests in English, Ukrainian and Russian. This outlines advice on accessing childcare support, healthcare and benefits. It also includes information on finding employment and rental accommodation. If you have not yet accessed this, you can access this here.
Biometric residence permit (BRP)
We would also like to remind you that if you do not have a biometric residence permit (BRP) and have not yet booked an appointment to enrol your biometric features you must do so within six months of the date that you entered the UK, so you can obtain BRP to continue to evidence you can live, work and access benefits in the UK.
You can book an appointment here to attend a UK Visa and Citizenship Application Services office to provide your biometrics (photograph and fingerprints). You must take your Ukrainian international passport to that appointment. After you have enrolled your biometrics, the Home Office will vary your leave by up to 36 months, which will be displayed on your BRP which will act as evidence of your status in the UK.
