Your Hull capture it

Home / Council and democracy / About Hull / Your Hull capture it

Your Hull, capture it is looking for iconic pictures that represent Hull to go on our website.

Darren Gregory's photo of statues by Hull Marina

Our current homepage photograph was taken by Darren Gregory and was chosen by Vanessa Salter, Assistant Curator at Hull Museums.

Vanessa noted that the image perfectly represents the human history of our welcoming city by depicting the story of immigration into Hull (and beyond). Vanessa also felt its evocative subject matter and composition reflects the best of the city and should be showcased to all visitors.

Before you start

  • jpeg or png format
  • of places in Hull or places associated with Hull such as Humber Bridge. They cannot contain people who can be identified.
