Hull City Council Private Housing – Financial Assistance Team will use information you provide to assess whether you are eligible to accept works for a -
- Disabled Facilities Grant and/or
- Home Appreciation Loan and/or
- Homecheque Loan and/or
- Landlord Loan

We process information about -
- customers applying for a range of Grants and Loans
- household members
- professionals involved in providing aids and adaptations to the home
The types of information we process includes -
- names and contact information
- financial information
- biographical and family information
- details of current accommodation and any housing issues or concerns;
- health, welfare and safeguarding information
We receive information from -
- customers
- Adults Social Care Occupational Therapists
- building contractors
- other Council departments
- housing providers
- external bodies i.e. Hull and East Riding Credit Union , Sheffield Homes and Loans Team
We process personal information to deliver our public functions as a local authority – working with Private Homeowners, Private Sector Tenants or Housing Association Tenants.
Customers can apply for a range of Grants and Loans to adapt or improve their home. Disabled Facilities Grant for the cost of installing adaptations, Home Appreciation Loan offers affordable loans for people on a limited income, HomeCheque scheme is a home maintenance scheme.
We retain all information for 6 years.
