Our Neighbourhoods and Housing Service are reviewing its approach on how we manage pets in our properties in order to provide a balance between the benefits to a person that pet ownership can bring, whilst ensuring that this does not infringe on the right of others to the peaceful enjoyment of their home.
The current approach is not to allow dogs in flats that are in blocks consisting of more than 3 storeys, unless that dog is a formally trained Assistance Dog providing assistance to a person.
We would like to seek the views of tenants and leaseholders currently living in High Rise and Low Rise blocks, by asking you to complete an online survey. If you are experiencing issues completing the form online, or would like a paper copy sending to you, please submit an enquiry using the form below and a member of the Tenant Participation Team will get in touch with you -
The survey will close at the end of the day on Wednesday 31 May 2023.
Once we have received all responses, we will start to produce a Pets Policy which will set out the rules of pet ownership in our properties, as well as guidance on how to be a responsible pet owner.
