Tenant Participation

Get involved

Listening to and empowering our customers is key to our business. We want to make this as easy as possible, in a way that suits you. We have 8 involvement principles -

  • open information
  • tenants decide their depth and degree of involvement
  • everything in housing is open to influence
  • involvement is everyone’s business
  • early enough influence
  • get everyone involved
  • demonstrate that everyone's views have been taken into account and providing feedback
  • plan for successful involvement, and keep the plans on track

We’re always looking for tenants to get involved in shaping services. We'll cover the costs of travel and refreshments and provide training.

There are lots of options for how to get involved, including -

  • tenant forum meetings
  • mystery shopping
  • estate walks
  • the Housing Opinion Panel
  • becoming a member of one of our Tenant and Resident Groups

Be a part of change

We want our tenants and the residents of our communities to have the opportunity to shape the services we offer at Hull City Council. This could be from tenancy management to the policies that tell us how we provide our services.
