Food hygiene re-inspection and re-score
If your business currently has a food hygiene rating, you can -
- request a revisit and rescore
- appeal against a score
- outline actions taken after an inspection. This is known as the right to reply
All the above documents can be downloaded.
You can request and pay for your food hygiene re-score and re-inspection online.
You need your 6-digit reference number. You can find this in the top right corner of your original rating score letter.
The fee for this service is £258. This fee came into place from 1 April 2026.
