The Humber High Street Challenge Fund will offer grants to encourage private sector landlords and property owners to undertake building and conversion projects that will improve high streets, diversifying the traditional retail offer and bringing unused floor space back into use.
Funding for the scheme was allocated by the Humber LEP from the Humber’s Local Growth Fund allocation, secured from Government as part of their commitment to the Northern Powerhouse.
The delivery of the Humber High Street Challenge Fund will be led by us with local support and coordination from our partners at East Riding of Yorkshire Council, North Lincolnshire Council and North East Lincolnshire Council.
Investment will take place in four areas across the Humber sub-region that comprise-
- Whitefriargate in Hull
- The Clock Tower area of Goole in the East Riding of Yorkshire
- Scunthorpe Town Centre in North Lincolnshire
- The Kasbah area of Grimsby in North East Lincolnshire
Please access the corresponding links above for further details on how the scheme will regenerate the four target high street/ town centre areas.
