We have a 10 to 15 year regeneration programme for the Ings area which is well underway. An overview of this is provided in the master plan map for the area. This shows areas of Caspon houses that due to their construction are being demolished to create cleared sites for building new homes on. The acquisition and demolition is nearly completed.
The Holderness Road Corridor Area Action Plan and the Ings Master Plan Map provide a framework for the development of the area through the building of new homes and the creation of green and recreational spaces. Compendium Living are our lead developer partner in the area building a range of housing including a mix of rental, private ownership, size and type so that there are homes for everyone who wants to stay in the area.
The first development by Compendium Living of 65 new homes on the Leeway at Perivale and Petersham is now sold or let.
83 new two and three bedroom homes on Surbiton Close for affordable rent and shared ownership from Together Housing has also been completed .
The Hammersmith Close site forms a continuation of The Leeway with building underway on 64 two, three and four bedroom houses for sale and four affordable bungalows.
A planning application has been approved for both 2c (Battersea Close/Salthouse Road area) and 2b(Middlesex/Chelsea Close): 2b will have 91 for open market sale and 11 homes for affordable from Together Housing: while 2c will have 108 homes: 97 for open market sale and 11 for affordable rents from Together Housing. The open market sale homes are a mix of two, three and four beds while the affordable housing are two and three bed. Building on (2c) will begin May Summer 2019.
