Lost, faulty, damaged or if an additional key is required

If the PAC key is lost, faulty, damaged or if an additional key is required -

Faulty Keys

If the key is faulty and there is no sign of physical damage it will be replaced free of charge. You must return the faulty key.

Lost / Stolen or Damaged Keys

If lost/stolen or damaged a charge of will be levied before a replacement is issued and you will be advised of the cost at the time you apply.

Additional Keys

If an additional key is required, you will need to provide acceptable proof of identification (ID) which will be checked against your tenancy information.

Types of acceptable ID -

  • photo driving licence
  • passport
  • residence permit
  • letter from works or pensions
  • EU Member state identity card
  • tenancy agreement
  • bank statements
  • a registration cross-check on the Council Tax system

ID will be checked against the name on the tenancy and only provided to the tenant or named representative with written authorisation.

Additional PAC keys can be issued to confirmed members of the household only. No person under the age of 14 will be issued a PAC key.

If a PAC key is required for a person who is a carer of the tenant but doesn't live at the address, proof will be required of the caring responsibilities of that person in the form of a letter of authorisation from the tenant or relevant household member.
