Charlotte Rymer - Business Development Officer
This role is very diverse and allows me to use and develop my professional and personal skills while working with other Members of the Team and Licensees within the Centres. I started my Career with Hull City Council and The MWC’s in 2023 and since beginning in the position I have enjoyed furthering my knowledge about Small and Startup Businesses and gaining a deeper understanding of what it takes to support them within the Centres.
In my role I act as a primary point of contact for the Licensees within the centres, if they have any questions or need any assistance, I can help them make the best use out of the Centres facilities and if needed signpost them to Business Support, Events and Grants/Funding to allow them to further develop their Businesses in our Centres. I work across all the Managed Workspace Centre sites meaning I get a wider range of experience with the different businesses at each site. As well as being able to keep in regular contact with the Licensees about their thoughts and ideas about their experience and journey within the Centre and with the MWC Team to then further Develop and Grow their Business.
Outside of work I Volunteer as the County Youth Lead for Humberside Scouts. I have been involved in the Scouting Movement for over 10 years and am passionate about providing a High-Quality, Diverse, and most importantly Safe Experience for Young People and Adult Volunteers. This role has helped me develop my Networking Skills as well as my Leadership and Teamwork Skills which have proven to be beneficial within my role at the MWC’s. These skills mean I understand the importance and can deliver clear and concise communication with the Licensees and other members of staff. I am experienced working in teams and understand how to make the most of the team you are in to get the best results which allows me to get the most out of this position in the MWC Team. All the skills I gain and develop Personally through my Volunteering Role and Professionally through the position as a Business Development Officer working in the MWC Team enable me to continuously learn and evolve my skillset to allowing me to make the most of the roles, experiences and learning provided to provide the best service.
