Being Trauma Informed 2 (Based on the ARC framework) - Learning and Development courses

Course details:

This course will follow on from the ‘Attachment, Trauma and Brain Development’ and the ‘Being Trauma Informed 1’ courses to look at how this knowledge and understanding can be put into practice. The course will incorporate various trauma based models, using ARC as a framework and will build on the blocks covered in the previous course.

Aims:

To build on previous and knowledge and understanding and how to transfer this to practice when working with or caring for children and families using trauma based models and the ARC framework.

Objectives:

• To reflect on learning and understanding gained on the ‘Attachment, Trauma and Brain Development’ and ‘Being Trauma informed 1’ courses.
• To build on understanding of trauma based models and the ARC framework and how the upper tiers can be used in practice.
• To explore strategies and techniques to enable an approach to care that is trauma informed, based on ARC.
• To leave the course ready to explore direct practice with children and families within supervision.

*Participants must have completed the ‘Attachment, Trauma and Brain Development’ as well as ‘Being Trauma Informed 1’*

Anyone working with, or caring for, children and families who have experienced trauma.

Before enrolling onto this course, the pre-requisite course; Attachment, Trauma and Brain Development’ and Being Trauma Informed 1’ must be attended first.
