Objectives

  • To recognise the priority of supervision and the ways in which supervision may be conducted.
  • To identify what good outcomes look like in terms of supervisory practice and explore roles and responsibilities in achieving these.
  • To understand the theoretical principles and models of critically reflective supervision in promoting best practice.
  • To understand the benefits of critically reflective supervision on personal and professional development.
  • To understand the benefit to practice, of 'slowing down thinking' in supervision.
  • To explore the role of PGPR's in supervision to support professional development.
