Aims: 
The general aim of this session is to introduce participants to the importance of working restoratively with others (Colleagues & those we provide support to).  There are several practice models that local authorities have incorporated within their services; Restorative Practice provides a relational based approach to our interactions with others and is at the heart of all we do.

 

Objectives:

  • Background (RJ vs RP)
  • Key principles of RP
  • Exploring and Understanding the power of working WITH
  • Exploring a communication Framework to effectively engage with others
  • Having difficult conversations
  • The power of circles
  • Implementation ideas (How does this fit within my role/area of work?)
  • Final questions and evaluation
