Microaggression – It’s Not Micro - Learning and Development courses

Course Title Microaggression – It’s Not Micro
Course Information

Details

This 2 hour session aims to introduce you to ‘Microaggressions’, focussing mostly on racial microaggressions.

Key aims are:

  • Know what microaggressions are
  • Understand the impact they have, both on colleagues and service users
  • Understand the need for them to be addressed
  • Know how they can be addressed in the workplace
  • Introduce ideas around anti-racism, and why this is everyone’s responsibility in the workplace
  • Key roles of allies and leaders in calling out/calling in microaggressions

Sometimes talking about differences and how they affect us can be uncomfortable. This is an opportunity to learn how we can talk about race, and how we can navigate difficult or uncomfortable conversations when we might think ‘was it ok to say that?’.

This session welcomes all curious and respectful questions on conversations about race, and gives attendees opportunity to challenge themselves and others in a workshop format
