Course Information

Aims: This course aims to deepen your understanding of racism as a historical and contemporary system, rather than just an individual attitude. 

 

Objectives: 

  • Define core concepts such as race, racism, structural racism, privilege and bias.
  • Identify contemporary inequalities that can be traced to colonial legacies.
  • Reflect on how we can respond to racism in both a community and workplace settings.
  • Commit to ongoing learning and accountability beyond the session.
