Aims:

• To gain a better understanding of the importance of good oral health care.
• To increase knowledge on how to maintain a healthy mouth for yourself and your client groups.

Objectives:

• To establish what the barriers are to delivering oral health care
• To recognise common oral conditions and understand how to ease the symptoms
• To explain how to maintain and care for natural teeth on a daily basis
• To understand the methods for preventing dental disease
• To know how to care for dentures and support individuals who wear dentures
