Course Information |
An introduction to the child car seats that are used by CYPS in Hull City Council, utilising the UN R129 & R44/ 04 regulations, in particular the use of HCC approved car seats. The course will look to give confidence on correct fitting of Council Approved Car Seats, how to check if the seat is age/ size appropriate, how to overcome objections from other adults and children, what the safety implications are for an incorrectly fitted seat. They should also understand why HCC has designated specific seats to use for the majority of Children that we transport, but more importantly how to identify when a specific car seat is not suitable for a child (extremes in developmental growth, disability etc) and what they need to do to in such a situation.
