  • to update and increase awareness of the importance of oral health education for professionals working with 0 to 19-year-olds
  • to consider diet and lifestyle factors which may affect the oral health of this age group
  • to provide information to help promote and maintain good oral health habits
  • to recognise the presenting features of abuse and neglect by identifying accidental and non-accidental oro-facial injuries
  • to discuss first aid for teeth 0 to 6 years and 6+ years
