Local Offer for disabled children

The Local Offer website offers information and advice to children, young people and adults up to the age of 25 with special education needs or a disability, as well as parents, carers and professionals.

In Hull there is a lot of support available to children and young people with disabilities and special educational needs, and their families. Whether it relates to education, health, social care or parental support, and regardless of who's providing it, the Local Offer is there to point you in the right direction.

The local offer is split into ten sections - 

Early Years 0-5 years

Including information on - 

  • the Family Information Service
  • Children’s Centres
  • Early Education Provision
  • transition to primary school and support available to children with SEND

Education and Training 5-25

Including - 

  • a list of schools and colleges
  • Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) information
  • support available to children with SEND
  • transition post 16 and SEND team

Becoming an adult

Including information on -

  • freetime activities
  • transition to adulthood

Health and wellbeing

An A-Z of health services including -
