Rationalised traditional construction houses
There are over 1,000 rationalised traditional construction houses across the city. We have secured The Social Housing Decarbonisation Funding. This will provide 180 council owned rationalised traditional properties with external wall insulation. We will fund other improvements that should future proof these homes for the next 30 years. This includes -
- installation of external wall insulation
- installation of new ventilation
- new roofs
- new windows and doors
The work started summer 2023. The contractor Equans will give a minimum of 21 days' notice before works start.
The below timetable are estimated start and finish date -
- Ashworthy Close - February to June 2024
- Cambeak Close - March to July 2024
- Cookbury Close - December to May 2024
- Grimmscott Close - March to June 2024
- Kingscott Close - October to February 2024
- Padstow Close - April to July 2024
- Penrose close - November to March 2024
- Towan Close - November to February 2024
