A new programme of workshops supporting local businesses
We’re pleased to announce a series of free practical workshops during May, delivered in partnership with Invest East Yorkshire and Invest Hull. Hosted at Craven Park Training and Enterprise Centre.
A new programme of introductory workshops is set to support local businesses at every stage of their journey, from start‑up through to growth. The series includes an Introduction to Bid Writing, offering practical guidance to help businesses approach tenders with confidence and improve their chances of success.
An Introduction to Marketing workshop will cover the essentials of market research, competitor analysis, and selecting the most effective ways to reach customers. Businesses can also benefit from an Introduction to Business Finance, a hands‑on session designed to demystify pricing, cash flow management, and financial responsibilities.
For those looking to formalise their plans, the Introduction to Business Planning workshop will help entrepreneurs reflect on progress to date and build the foundations of a robust business plan. This session is particularly suited to newly launched businesses and follows on from the Marketing, Finance and Legal workshops.
Completing the programme is an Introduction to the Legal Requirements of Setting Up and Running a Business, providing a clear overview of business structures, compliance, and employer responsibilities, helping businesses stay compliant and confident.
