Course Information

The aim of this session is to increase your awareness of diabetes to help you support residents and clients living with diabetes.

  • To be able to define diabetes.
  • To be able to describe the common types of diabetes, causes and symptoms
  • To be able to list possible treatment options
  • Describe potential risks and complications of diabetes
  • Understand the importance of glucose monitoring and escalating concerns.
  • Understand the benefits of following a healthy diet and lifestyle, including diabetes health checks.

For external delegates to the Hull City Council this course will come at a charge of £52+VAT per person.
