Safer Recruitment – Education - Learning and Development courses

• To comply with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2024 (KCSIE) guidance.
• N.B. This is not intended to be a comprehensive workshop on staff recruitment and selection

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the training session, participants will:

• Understand a model of offender behaviour.
• Identify the key features of staff recruitment that helps to deter or prevent the appointment of unsuitable people.
• Consider policies and practices that minimise opportunities for abuse or ensure its prompt reporting.
• Help you to review your policies and practice in recruitment with a view to creating a safer culture

Anyone involved in Education i.e. schools, colleges, 14-19 providers, who play a part within recruitment and selection of staff and/or volunteers
