Whistleblowing

If you believe there is wrongdoing within the public services provided by us, you can report this. We expect anyone who has concerns about any aspect of our work to voice them without fear of consequences.

What you should report through this process -

  • conduct which is a criminal offence or breach of law
  • sexual, physical, or verbal abuse of our customers, employees, or the public
  • suspected fraud or corruption

You should not use this process to report dissatisfaction or failures of council service. You should use our complaints process.

We take whistleblowing seriously. We are committed to maintaining an honest, fair, and open culture. We want to have the highest standards of honesty and accountability. Our whistleblowing policy details our procedures on how we deal with any concerns that arise.
