Accessing a planning application

System availability notice

During the period between 26 August and 16 September, some of our customer portals will remain available in read-only mode. You will still be able to view information however, any updates, amendments, or submissions made during this time will not be processed or saved. To minimise any disruption, we strongly recommend that any urgent applications, submissions, or requests are submitted before 26 August, where possible. We anticipate that all services will be fully operational and available again from 16 September. If you have any questions or require further information, please contact dev.control@hullcc.gov.uk

To access a planning application, you need one of the following -

  • a reference number
  • address
  • postcode

Using Public Access, you may view details of property. This is along with planning applications submitted to us. You can also comment on planning applications.

About the data held on the Hull planning web pages

  • information submitted on a planning application will be made publicly available. This is either in an electronic format or manual format
  • this site contains records which date back to 1 January 1995. It is not a complete database of all the information held by us. These web pages are not an alternative to traditional searches. They should not be used as a resource to give full planning history of a site

Public Access enables us to publish associated documents. Under the recommendations given to us by the Information Commissioner, we make every effort not to disclose -

  • signatures on applications
  • email addresses
  • telephone numbers
