We are completing fire safety works to 85 blocks of low and medium rise flats. The fire safety improvement works may vary from flat to flat. They could include alteration of a bedroom window to allow escape. It could also be the replacement of 2 new solid internal doors and frames. While in the property we will service the windows. This is to make sure they are all operational. We may also upgrade the fire detection if required.
These works are vital in helping to protect residents.
Under the terms of your Tenancy Agreement, you must provide access to us, or our contractors, to carry essential safety checks or works. Failure to provide access is a breach of your tenancy.
As a responsible landlord we are also writing to leaseholders in these blocks to recommend that they do the works to their properties.
