Refugee integration service

The Refugee Integration Service is a free service from Hull City Council. We support refugees who are starting a new life in Hull. 

We have been helping people since 2019.

How we can help

Everyone needs different kinds of support. At your first appointment, we will talk with you and agree on a plan that suits your needs.

Please note we cannot provide legal advice.

Your Refugee Integration Caseworker can help you with -

  • housing - help to understand your options and provide relevant guidance in how to look for finding accommodation. Access our 'Finding somewhere to live' document for further information.

  • bank accounts - help you open bank account in the UK.

  • English language classes (ESOL) - information about English classes and where you can study.

  • education - support to find school places for children and information about further education or training.

  • employbility - information and guidance to help you move closer to work, this may include signposting to CV and interview help, local employment services and opportunities

  • health and wellbeing - help to register with a doctor, dentist and other health services, and information about wellbeing support.

  • benefits - support to apply for benefits and understand what you may be entitled to.
