Lost, faulty, damaged or if an additional key is required
If the key is faulty and there is no sign of physical damage it will be replaced free of charge. You must return the faulty key.
If lost, stolen or damaged a charge of £9.80 will be levied before a replacement is issued. You will be advised of the cost at the time you apply.
If you have lost your key, you will need to complete the general housing enquiry form below and state the address the PAC key is required for. The appropriate team will then contact you and organise issuing of the new PAC key.
Out of hours
- Monday to Friday - 5pm to 9am
- Saturday and Sunday - All day
If you have lost your PAC key out of hours you will need to try a neighbour’s bell for access. Then submit a Housing general enquiry form below, giving full details of your -
- name
- address
- contact number
- reason for the request for a PAC key
You will be contacted on the next working day.
Additional keys
If an additional key is needed, you will need to provide acceptable proof of identification (ID). The ID will be checked against your tenancy information.
Types of acceptable ID -
- photo driving licence
- passport
- residence permit
- letter from works or pensions
- EU Member state identity card
- tenancy agreement
- bank statements
- a registration cross-check on the Council Tax system
ID will be checked against the name on the tenancy. It is only provided to the tenant or named representative with written authorisation.
Additional PAC keys can be issued to confirmed members of the household only. No person under the age of 14 will be issued a PAC key.
If a PAC key is required for a person who is a carer of the tenant but does not live at the address, proof will be required of the caring responsibilities of that person. It needs to be in the form of a letter of authorisation from the tenant or relevant household member.
