Hull Primary Care Addiction Services
The Hull Primary Care Addictions Service, support people in GP practices across Hull who are struggling with drug, alcohol, or prescription medication use.
This service offers -
- treatment programmes
- personalised care plans
- links to community services
They offer 3 types of support through your GP and in the community -
- shared care -
- support with drug or alcohol use with treatment through your GP and ongoing support from a keyworker
- assist service -
- pop-up clinics in community spaces
- screening for substance use
- advice and harm reduction tips
- support to reduce or stop
- enhance service -
- 1-to-1 confidential support from specialist nurses to help with prescribed pain medication

Drug and Alcohol support for young people in Hull
ReFresh
Drugs and alcohol can be a worry for parents and carers. ReFresh Hull give friendly support for families. The organisation supports young people aged 19 and under in Hull, whether they live, study, or work here. They provide free, confidential help with drugs and alcohol, as well as community training in schools, colleges, and workplaces.
Refresh can support young people who are having problems with drugs or alcohol with some difficulties in other areas of their life, they have helped lots of young people with -
- family relationships
- securing somewhere stable to live
- getting support with school, college or work
- making positive use of their time
ReFresh offers -
- a space to talk and someone to listen
- advice and information on reducing and using safely
- health checks -
- including sexual health
- safer injecting
- testing and treatment for blood-borne viruses
- help to deal with cravings, controlling tension and reducing anxiety
- help with emotional and mental health
- help to improve family relationships
