Childcare sufficiency assessment

The Childcare Act 2006 placed a duty on all local authorities to report annually to elected council members on how we are meeting their duty to secure sufficient childcare, and make this report available and accessible to parents.

We want to provide high-quality childcare so that your child can have the best start in life and you have the time to -

  • go to work
  • train
  • further your education

We have compiled a Childcare Sufficiency Assessment (CSA) report to understand what the demand is for childcare in Hull and whether childcare is -

  • affordable
  • flexible
  • accessible for parents and carers
