Reporting a change for Business rates

It's important to tell us about changes straight away.

If you -

  • move in to or out of a non-domestic property
  • have a change of ownership
  • have a change that may entitled you to a Business rates, reliefs and exemptions
  • own a property that has had a change in occupier

contact us straight away so we can -

  • work out the correct charge for your business
  • award any relief or exemption
  • send you a correct bill as soon as possible

If you wish to report a change which may affect you or the billing of a property you are responsible for, contact us –

You can check your business rates account if you have already signed up for this service, or sign up now and check your account.

How to provide proofs

You can -

  • scan or photograph original documents and e-mail them to ndrsr@hullcc.gov.uk. To link them to your account, you will need to include in the email your -
    • full name
    • business address
    • business rates account number (if you are already or have been previously registered for Business Rates)
  • visit one of our Customer Service Centres.
