The open register
The open register is an extract of the electoral register, but is not used for elections. It can be bought by -
- any person
- a company
- an organisation
It is used by businesses and charities to confirm name and address details. Or it can be used for commercial activities such as marketing. Your name and address details will be included in the open register unless you ask for them to be removed. Removing your details from the open register does not affect your right to vote.
Opt in or out of the open register
If you are already registered to vote, you can request to opt-in or opt-out of the open register by either -
- completing the general Electoral Register Enquiry form below
- emailing us your request along with your name and address to electoral.services@hullcc.gov.uk
- telephoning us on 01482 300 302
