Eligibility
Applications are welcome from voluntary and community organisations working directly with residents in Hull, including -
- registered charities and excepted charities
- community groups with a constitution, management committee and bank account in the organisation's name (for example residents' groups, tenants' associations and self-help groups)
- churches, mosques, temples and other faith organisations providing practical support to their communities
- not-for-profit companies limited by guarantee, including Community Interest Companies (CICs) limited by guarantee
Who cannot apply
The following are not eligible to apply -
- individuals
- statutory organisations and public bodies
- commercial or for-profit organisations, including sole traders and small businesses
- community Interest Companies (CICs) limited by shares
Eligible costs
The grants may be used to cover the costs of provision of this support, including for example -
- salary costs related to the project
- volunteer expenses directly related to the project
- travel costs directly related to the project
- equipment required to deliver the project, for example, catering equipment to support the provision of hot meals, or computers and tablets to help residents -
- access services
- apply for benefits
- manage finances
- access discounts
- switch energy suppliers
- resources and consumables that support engagement, participation or learning activities, rather than items provided solely as giveaways
- items that help residents stay warm and reduce household costs where they form part of a wider approach to crisis prevention or building resilience. For example, slow cookers, air fryers or similar items may be eligible where they are used as a means of engaging residents with support, skills development, budgeting advice or other resilience-building activities
- refreshments provided as part of project activities, including hot beverages
- marketing, publicity and communication costs to promote activities and key messages
- a contribution towards additional project-related overheads, including insurance, licences, utilities and venue costs as required to deliver the project
All costs must be clearly linked to the activities and outcomes described in the application and may be subject to monitoring, reporting and evidence of expenditure.
Ineligible costs
- funding will not be provided for one off service that do not meet the objectives of the crisis and resilience fund. Applicants must clearly demonstrate how the project will build resilience
- general organisational costs
- direct financial support to households and individuals
- activities supporting residents outside the city of Hull
- work that is commissioned elsewhere such as social prescribing
