How to apply

To apply for the RIght to Grow scheme you will first need to identify that the land is Council-owned. You can do this by accessing my maps.

When applying, you will need to provide -

  • full name
  • address 
  • email address
  • contact number 
  • the proposed location which you will be able to locate on a map in the application form
  • a description of what you would like to do and grow
  • who else is supportive of your ideas, this could be -
    • neighbours
    • HCC Neighbourhood Coordinator
    • HCC Housing Officer
    • HCC Ward Councillor
  • photographs of your proposed location

On completion of your application, you will receive a unique reference number along with a confirmation email. 

Applications will be reviewed and responded to within 15 working days.
