National senior citizens railcard

Anyone aged 60 or over can buy a national senior citizens railcard for £30 for one year. As a Hull resident you are eligible to a railcard at a discounted cost of £24.

To apply for the discount, you need a unique voucher code which you can apply for at one of the following libraries -

The libraries offering bus passes and rail card services are -

  • Hull Central Library on Albion Street
  • Avenues Library on Chanterlands Avenue
  • Bransholme Library at North Point Shopping Centre
  • East Park Library in the pavilion, East Park
  • Fred Moore Library on Wold Road
  • Greenwood Avenue Library on Greenwood Avenue
  • Ings Library on Savoy Road
  • Western Library on the Boulevard

Proofs

You will need to bring -

  • proof of residency, such as a -
    • council tax bill dated within the last 12 months
    • utility bill
    • bank statement dated within the last 3 months
  • proof of age, such as a -
    • valid passport
    • birth certificate
    • marriage certificate
    • driving licence
  • if you are from an EU member state and are a permanent resident of Hull, you also need to provide proof. Your proof must be of nationality and permanent residency in Hull
  • if you are a non-EU resident, you need to provide a letter from the Home Office that proves you have been granted -
    • permanent UK residency
    • indefinite leave to remain
    • indefinite leave to enter
    • biometric residents permit
