Disability +C Bus Passes

Eligibility

To be eligible for a +C bus pass you must -

  • be a permanent resident of Hull
  • have a medical professional print and complete a Disability Travel Request + C clearly stating that, in their opinion, the claimant is, at all times, unable to travel alone

Applications that do not meet this minimum threshold are to be rejected. The claimant may be charged for this service by their doctor.

You must also have one of the following -

  • be in receipt of Personal Independence Payment (PIP) and awarded 8 points or more in either Section 12 Moving Around or Section 7 Communication Verbally
  • be in receipt of Higher Rate Mobility component of Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
  • have an exemption from driving due to medical reasons. This does not include persistent use of drugs or alcohol
  • be a holder of a Blue Badge and a holder of a Disabled Bus Pass
  • be in receipt of War Pensioner's Mobility Supplement
  • be the owner of a registered HCC Social Services card in one of the following categories -
    • yellow or orange - sight impaired or severely sight impaired. Previously referred to as partially sighted and blind
    • white - profoundly or severely deaf
    • grey - without speech
    • blue - limbless. This is where the person has no arms or legs, or the long-term loss of use of either arms or legs. A letter from the NHS Artificial Limb Unit is also acceptable proof of this
    • pink - learning disability
